day 15

Here we go – Day 15 (it was a relatively light day). I started off by waking up at the hostel in Caernarfon around 7:30am, then got some coffee and boarded the bus. Our first stop of the day was a quick stop in the town of Machynlleth (don’t try to pronounce it cuz you will be wrong). We walked around a bit and picked up some lunch while we were there before moving on. At the next stop we did a bit of hiking at the Devil’s Bridge somewhere in mid-Wales. It was a really nice hike – a bit tiring, but it had some great views of waterfalls and such. The next stop we made was in the Elan Valley at Caban Coch reservoir and dam. It was nice as well (except for the dead sheep we saw floating in the lake). After that we made a quick stop in Kilmary to see the final resting place of Llewellyn the Last who was the last true Prince of Wales (I told you the story yesterday). Eventually we made our way back down to south Wales near Carmarthen where we then went to Mexico (as our guide kept referring to it). It was our hostel for the night where it was themed and decorated as Mexico – in the middle of Wales. Upon arriving, I decided to take a shower and slip in the process resulting in a nasty bruised shin. I had a quesadilla for dinner (although it was wrapped up more like a taco). Since it was the last night of the tour everyone stayed up pretty late playing pool and darts and just talking so that was fun. I actually got a bull’s eye somehow which was exciting. So eventually we all made it to sleep to prepare for our last day in Wales. See Ya!

  1. Bummer about the sheep. And super bummer about the fall. Good thing there was a nurse!

But, while you were having all this fun, I was taking 2 midterms. One had 110 questions. The scantron only went to 100...
